Our story
Built on Family, Driven by Craft
For over 25 years, Spectrum Specialty Builders has delivered precision specialty service in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska — one demanding project at a time.
How we started
A Family Business Built to Last
Spectrum Specialty Builders was founded by Dan Pridemore after twenty years of specialty construction experience with a large national contractor that included projects in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Dan saw a void in the installation of expansion and seismic joint cover contracting, a void that needed that needed knowledge, skill, and experience in a niche scope of work.
What began as a small, focused operation has grown into a trusted subcontractor for many large general contractors with the most complex seismic joint cover and expansion joint projects in the region. Through every phase of growth, the company has remained family-owned and operated, with the same hands-on leadership that clients came to rely on from day one.
Today, Spectrum operates across four states, self-performing all work with our own crews — no subcontracting the critical and tough stuff. That commitment to direct accountability is why our clients keep coming back.

What drives us
Our Commitments
Safety First
An exemplary safety record built over decades. Every crew member is trained, every site is managed to the highest standards — because no project is worth a preventable injury.
Repeat Client Trust
The majority of our work comes from clients who've hired us before. That kind of loyalty isn't given — it's earned through consistent delivery, honest communication, and work that holds up.
Family Ownership
As a family-owned business, we have skin in the game on every project. Our reputation is personal. That's why we self-perform all work and stand behind every joint cover we install.
